Villa Gabbiano is the old manor house (of the 18th century) of the counts Fiumi Sermattei della Genga, who are still now the owners. The house is located at the centre of the estate, which covers an area of 65 hectares, and is situated on the slopes of the Subasio Mountain Nature Park.

The farm is surrounded by olive and oak trees (450 m AMSL), produces mainly olive oil and breeds poultry and horses. Moreover the farm is 6 km from the centre of Assisi, 30 km from Perugia and Spoleto and 50 km from Gubbio.

“It may seem an exaggeration, but I must say that in places like this the quietness is only disturbed by the bird song and by the breath of the fresh typical wind of the small hill”. With the smile of someone who knows he can’t be controverted, that’s how Cristiano Fiumi Sermattei describes the atmosphere that surrounds Villa Gabbiano.

These words accompany the motto of the farm, which was thought to underline the beauty of the landscape that surrounds the manor: “an oasis of quietness for your holidays in the green landscape of the green Umbria region”.
